hey(!) i’m really curious where you live, since it seems you can always choose to have a walk along the beach, lol.
p.s. take your scarf. it’s beautiful, but i must be windy too ;)

Comment by Fiona

I know I have a scarf around here somewhere. I haven’t needed it so long I don’t know where I put it last.

Ugh. Why can’t my evening walks look like that?
So pretty!

Hi Janice, It is pretty. Canada has great outdoors too, I remember that. Even if a little colder.

I’m new to blogging…this week…. but am an artist at heart and the ex publisher of a geographical magazine (Canadian Geo) so love your photos…where is this place that you call home?

Hi Susanne, Welcome to the blogosphere and thank you! I live in the central area of the California coast. I actually grew up not too far from where you are now…in the Northeastern US, as you may have read in my post above.

Hi Allen; I bet you love being by the ocean… like the large rock in your photos…reminds me of ‘Pinnacle Rock’ in the Galapagos Islands.I am a big fan of geology.

Comment by susannephudson

Yes that’s what it is. I developed a love of the ocean in my childhood when I went to the Atlantic Ocean. I just looked on online…that’s an unusual rock formation (Pinnacle). I imagine there’s lots of places to explore for geology just outside of Toronto.

Comment by Allen Capoferri

Yes, Bancroft north of Toronto is the mineral capital of Canada The best place in Canada for geology is Newfoundland..Gros Morne National Park. That’s probably why many people refer to Newfoundland as ‘The Rock’. In fact I told everyone after my trip there that I ‘drove The Rock w my daughter’! Like the east coast and think the cod is coming back…….

I just looked online at Gros Morne National Park. Wow.
I’ve been to the Thousand Islands and Oakville in that area. I knew of some beautiful parks around there but never heard of ‘The Rock’ till now…very beautiful. Did you take photographs? Cod..fish? The environment is improving?

Comment by Allen Capoferri

Hey Allen;

I think you’ve been on the west coast too long…yes cod is codfish…the cod coming back is a good thing. Oakville is in southern Ontario and a coinicidence, where I grew up!

I went there to check out Sheridan College.
