I walked behind her at the mall! You’ve caught the gestures beautifully.

I can imagine her face–a vacuous stare trying ti fill the voids of her life with retail therapy. I see a little face/skull on the right shoulder of her blouse. What is that, Allen?

One of the sources of inspiration for this character design was a woman who walked by while I was sketching shoppers at a outdoor mall plaza. She was wearing a shirt with the numbers 666 on the shoulder. I choose an image that would convey the same feeling in my design, something I felt was more effective.

Oh! Amazing work yet again Allen! Seems she is out to shop till she drops!

Love the view from the back! A style statement indeed!

Thank you! I see the saying “shop till drop” is used in India too. Maybe internationally. I didn’t know.😀

Great. Have one question, is there a skull or puppy-face on back of shoulder of the character.🙂

Sure. Actually I’m surprised more people hadn’t mentioned (one other had above).

It’s a skull. Reason being…one of the sources of inspiration for this character design was a woman who walked by while I was sketching shoppers at a outdoor mall plaza. She was wearing a shirt with the numbers 666 on the shoulder. I choose an image that would have the same feeling the numbers intended to convey.

To me this looks a bit like an overwhelmed shopper. But her purse isn’t that big, so maybe it’s more a resign indecision? Fun with the skull on the shoulder, which I noticed right away, but thought it was a puppy.

Overwhelmed is a normal state for some shoppers.

A puppy skull. More women seem to carry around what I found is called a “handbag dog” in this area. Something I thought was done mainly in Beverly Hills.
